The Perfect Location

The house is situated in the historic center of Merida in the Santa Ana neighborhood. It sits 1 1/2 blocks from Paseo Montejo, and four blocks from the Cathedral, the Governors Palace and Merida’s main plaza, Plaza Grande.  Within easy walking distance to all cultural attractions, and in a neighborhood that is home to a growing number of art galleries, the house is ideally located. Down the street is  Plaza Santa Ana, which contains a park, a Colonial church, and a local market known for the quality of its fruit and vegetables. Meat, chicken and fresh fish are also available from vendor's stalls that also sell local spices and marinades.

You can have a seat outside on the plaza and order fresh fruit juices and smoothies, as well as fruit with yogurt and granola, while listening to local musicians.  On the way back home pick up fresh bread and pasteries at the local bakery, and don’t forget to stop for coffee from “Cafico’s” where beans are toasted on-site.
